Behind Gently Smiling Jaws - Draft World Map

I took a few minutes to do this earlier today, using Hex Kit. What can be done in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea is pretty impressive. This is by no means final or illustrative of the flavour of the art, but it's certainly more evocative than what I could draw or come up with using other hex mapping software.

  1. Thank you for sharing this-- I'm getting a Pacific Rim vibe from your map, and it seems like all the locales are close enough to interact with each other.

This is probably still far down the line, but are you planning on releasing "Behind Gently Smiling Jaws" in installments, or all together? Either way, I'm definitely planning on getting it when you release.

Also, I'm currently working on a map of my own home-brew setting, and I do have enough basic drawing skills to make a map I feel. That said, I've never done it before. What are the advantages you see to Hex Kit, and do you think it would be useful for someone who can draw?

    Thank you for your thoughts.

    1. All together. I had grand plans for a multi-volume slipcase at one stage. That might not happen but it has to be released all together I think.

Hex Kit is trivially easy to use. This is a big bonus for somebody like me, who really can't draw! If you can draw, then I guess it just depends if you like the style of map it produces. It has a very distinctive look but much nicer than that of hexographer or hexmapper or the other possibilities out there.
